I have a Dearborn Brush and Bog disk that came with my tractor when I bought it. I did know what I had until i was reading this site. I figure it is worth about 200.00 dollars as is but I want to fix it up with new bolts, disk (there are eight of them) have it sandblasted and repainted and when I finish referbishing it, It still will worth about 200 dollars on the open market. So what would you do?

Don,

If yo are gonna sell it then let it go with the least amount of effort you can get away with. If you are going to keep it then go over it and repair and replace parts that have been needed attention for 40 years and BTW it is easy to paint it as you go. Then YOU know what you have and what condition it is in

I've got an 8N and several old Dearborn and Ferguson pieces of equipment. I use it all. At the same time, as I do normal maintenance I also try to refurbish it...not to "parade" quality, but to some reasonable degree of appearance and usability.

I do it for me, because I like the stuff and would like to pass it on to somebody (one of the kids?? nah, not interested!) someday. I know I won't make any money off of it, but think it is the "right thing to do."

good luck with whatever you decide to do.
Tom
