Looking to buy a 310 bailer. Is there any weak points in this model? What years were they made? This bailer has been used a lot but has been kept up.Any notion as to what the value would be? Thanks in advance for any help. Sam

According to my information, the 310 was built between 1977 & 1981. I bought one last year and used it on our small scale horse-hay operation-- worked fine! However, with over twenty years of use I had some seals, chains and bearings replaced, the knotters worked on, ... I think this is to be expected at this age. Here in SE Wisconsin they sell for $1100 on up.

Do check on Steve's posts last year; if run at a slower than 540 RPM pto speed, a 310 works fine and seems like it will last longer.

Do a search here for '310 baler'. You will find a post by Steve from New Holland as well as others. Apparently the 310,315, and 320 were all made at the same time. They were set to run too fast by New Holland. You need to run them slower than recommended or they will fly apart. Therefor, you must be careful in buying one.
