I just pickup a John Deere pull type plow 4/16" and was sold as a 666H and the man that sold it had a new
operators manual for the 666 and 666H. And I order a parts manual so the parts guy at John Deere did not have to go to the far back room of the dealership to find the old plow parts book. Any how I order some parts for this plow and when they came in they are not even close to what came off. They were bearings and seals for the land and furrow wheels. The plow I have looks to have a 1" spindel with a 3/4" fine sloted nut. And the parts that I order per the part number were bearing that look to fit a 1 1/2" or 1 3/4" spindel and a 1" fine sloted nut. The thing that started me thinking we have something smaller then a 666 is the hubs on a 666 plow have 6 bolts to bolt the rims on and this one only uses 4 bolts. Is this a 555H or a 444H ? Thanks CjW

Woody, It sounds like you may have a 555H plow. It can't be a 444 because they were not made in 4 bottom sizes. Measure the bars of the frame, if they are 2 3/4" x 1" it is a 555, a #666 plow would have 3"x1" stock. Bob
