: HELP! I HAVE BOUGHT A SQUARE BALER AND NEED TO HAUL IT ABOUT 75 MILES TO THE FARM. I HAVE A 2 AXLE EQUIPMENT TRAILER THAT IS 16 FEET LONG AND 6 FEET WIDE. THE FENDERS ARE ABOUT 10 INCHES HIGHER THAN THE BED. THE BALER IS AN IH 435, IT IS 8.5 FEET WIDE PER THE BOOK. HAS ANYONE OUT THERE ANY EXPERIENCE HAULING ONE OF THESE THINGS. I HAVE THOUGHT ABOUT SIDE LOADING IT, IN WHICH CASE I WILL NEED TO FABRICATE SOME RAMPS. ANY SUGGESTIONS? : THANKS , DONTricky situation, I found a great 24T bailer at a great price, but it was 175 miles from home, too far to pull, the guy could have lifted it on top of a trailer, but I would have had no way to get it off the trailer, we were going to block the axle up higher than the fenders with railroad ties. The other alternative was to rent a 102" flat bed trailer and tractor (semi) from Ryder ( I have a CDL ). But that would of doubled the cost of the bailer, and still no way to unload, and I would have needed permits from DOT for a wide load.... more $$$$$.. You could hire someone to haul it for you, still costly. Your best bet would be to pull it behind a pick-up, and pray for no flat tires....
