Hi I am going to look at some old equipment this week and was wonder what the stuff is worth. I went once before and bought some other stuff but decided I wanted something else and he said I can get a really good deal buying him out. The gentleman has a Allis Chalmers 60 combine. Its a pull type w/fair tires, looks complete said it worked about 5 years ago. What is this worth? Is there any market for them around Ohio? I would probably resell it. He has a Case one row corn picker. The tires are nice, said he used it the year before and worked great. Its complete and operable. I might be able to use it. Is there a way to remove the husking rolls so I could pick sweet corn? Or my neighbor could use it on the corn he picks as feed for livestock. The item I realy want is a Ferguson 3 point hich field cultivator. Its 5-6 feet wide and has the sweep shovels on it. I would use it to prepare for planting then remove a couple of the shanks to cultivate my sweet corn and pumpkins. What is it worth? What is a Massey Ferguson 3 point hicth 3 bottom plow worth? Its in good condition and has a removable bottom. The last thing in my package is an old flat bed wagon. Its in good condition with a metal tongue and most metal frame. It has wooden sides to haul grain with also. What is one worth? I've seen some go for $100 and some up to $300-$400. Anyone else see what they are going for? The last item is not in my package deal but will look at for a friend. Its a 5 foot finish mower. I do not know what make but its red and looks decent. What are these worth? Well thanks for any and all of everyones help.

Matt

Don't bother buying the AC combine for resale. That particular model basicly has no resale value in northern Indiana. I doubt if the market is any different in Ohio. The scrap iron guys end up with them around here.

Matt,

I don't think removing the husking rolls will go very far in preserving your sweet corn crop. The steel snapping rolls will do most of the damage. Just food for thought . . .

Where I live, a Ferguson stiff-shank tiller (field culivator) is worth $300-$400 in good to excellent condition. They don't make very good row-crop cultivators, though, unless you have sway bars on the 3-point. The MF plow will bring about the same in my area. For some strange reason 3-point 3-bottom plows with safety trips always attract a lot of interest here in New Jersey. Often they sell for more than a 5-16" auto-reset semi-mount!

Same story here, saw a 4 bottom JD semi mount in good shape sell 2 weeks ago for $100. A 3 bottom mounted Ford brought $450 at another sale that same day.
