Did you ask a week or so ago? I was too busy that day..... I run it on my 960 Ford, so I hope things fit on your tractor the same.... I hook up the lower left 3pt arm first, as it is often the lowest. Raise the 3-point a bit, & hook up the right side. Un-pin the upper arm spring (where it slides on the top link - early models had a bolt, newer models have a pin & clip - get a pin & clip!) and attach the upper arm. Attach the pto (MAKE SURE it clears on the way up - runs very close to max in on my tractors!). Lift the mower, attach the upper spring pin. Lower the mower. Attach the clamp on the lower left side to the 3-point arm - clamp it on tight. Ready to mow. If you clamp that arm a little forward, the mower won't raise as high. A little rearward & it will lift higher. Only takes a small amount, an inch difference. You will get the feel for it quickly - I don't like it raising too high myself. For rpm, I run about 1/2 throttle. On my 5 speed Ford I run in 3rd gear. However, in thick, short, or damp grass or fresh clover I've been down to 1st gear, about wide open & cussed the whole time. Then again in dry thin alfalfa I've been close to idle in 4th gear. You need to play with speed & rpm to make it work right. Sometimes doing the opposite of what you think will actually improve the cutting. --->Paul
