Mike,

The link below will take you to the Wisconsin Historical Society Website. They are the caretakers of the McCormick-Deering records from when they began business up to when Case took them over. On the page click on "mower" and look for any decisions that were made from 1927 to 1939. They do a good job of breaking down what was painted what color.

I will be sending you a scanned copy of my manual. If you are looking for an original one I suggest checking out E-bay. They show up there from time to time.

What parts are you trying to find? I know of different sources for different parts.

Hope this helps,

Old Iron

I've a pair of McC-D #7 mowers I'm restoring- When were they made? Colors? The Wisc history site doesn't have much to say specifically on # 7 mowers that I could find. One has fully enlcosed wheel hubs, and is mainly red with cream wheels, but any hint of blue is gone. Wheel part # M2375, not in 1940 parts list. The other, older looking one with split hubs, is also mainly red, but the wheels look to be a yellow-orange color. Blue? Part # match the 1940 parts list. Thanks

Mike,

I don't remember off the top of my head about the #7 but I know the #9 mower had the year cast onto the bottom of the main frame. They began making the #7 in 1932.

Mike,

I don't want to get the webmaster of this site mad at me so please drop me a line by e-mail about the pitman.
