The baler has many greasers on the various moving parts, yet on some they are sealed-for-life bearings on the plungerhead rollers and the pick-up.How useful is 15 year old grease ? What can be done? was thinling about a big hypodermic syringe with some oil just to thin the grease As they say in exams,Discuss (please)

I have a 15 year old Caddy with 200K miles and the original grease is in the wheel bearings - still doing fine. That said, I've seen it done where people have added a zirc to a 'sealed' bearing that was drying out, and simply added it to the regular greasing routine after that.

Better to leave it be as engineered. Once you puncture the seal to insert grease or oil it will not last long. That is why they are called "sealed bearings".
