I have an FMC brush hog that is leaking bad out of the gear box. Does anyone know where I can get a new seal for it?

The same seals are used in many applications. If you can get the seal out without tearing it up or just get it cleaned up you should be able to read the numbers pressed in the seal. Any "good" auto parts should be able to get for you if they don't have it in stock.

I just went through what you are doing. If you can find a dealer who knows the part number, that is the way to go. If you take the seal out yourself, make sure not to damage the side that has the part number on it. If you can't see the part number, they will be on the underneath side. Do not pry against the under side with anything, or you may damage the numbers. My auto parts store refered me to a company here in Kansas City called IBT. They sell most any type and size of oil seal. My part number was no longer available, but they got me a seal based on the shaft diameter and the housing diameter.
