Bucket Loader Problem

We have a TN360 loader on a IMT560 tractor. Bucket works fine except it has no down pressure. It seems like it just leaks down. Raises fine and tilting of bucket also works. With bucket in down position it won't lift front of tractor at all - just no down pressure. Any one have any ideas? Thanks

Just a thought, some hydraulic valves have a "float" position so that the bucket wpould follow the ground. Maybe it is set up to float rather than put pressure down. Does it make any noise when you try to put down pressure on it? Perhaps the relief valve is set too low.

I'm not at all familiar with whatever brand of equipment that is. We will assume you know it is double-acting cylinders on it, many older loaders were single-acting & just dropped by gravity?

Some tractors have controls on the pump/spools to set up for single/double acting, or to allow free drop. Check into that.

Is this a sudden change on your machine, or is it a new machine to you & you are trying to figure out how it works?

It is our neighbor's tractor - foreign (IMT) We worked on it today changing hyd hoses around and messed with levers on the selectric(?) valve. Now we have the bucket lowering as it is supposed to but there is no "down pressure". It will not lift the front end of the tractor at all. The bucket just stops when it is on the ground. Everything else seems to be working just fine. It is a double acting cylinder. Thanks
