Funny you should mention this. I just purchased a parts NH 268 with a working 53A thrower for $50 on ebay.

I will also suggest bale basket wagons instead. Ran three of them for several years really worked nice. I grew up with the throwers and I would not go back to it after using bale baskets. Give me call if like more info. They do work when setup right. Rick 319-257-6764

You are looking for a Model 54A. They are a belt type thrower. They are usually not a lot of money. I don't know where you are, but I have 3 of them in usable condition. They are stored inside. Also some new parts with them including 2 brand new driveshafts. Also have a book for them, I think. I'd take $250 for all of it. And I'd like all of it to go in a package! I think it would all go into a full size pickup, but a trailer might be better. I'm in West Central Illinois.

depending on how much hay you have and where you are at did you ever think of a bale basket fairly comman in wisc lot less trouble then thrower and easier to attach basically it is a wagon attached to the back of the baler and the bales are pushed to the top by the bale coming out it makes a nicer bale and avoid the thrower problems friend had jd with thrower and missed bales but with basket never missed
