Any thoughts as to why my 469 Haybine seems to get grass balled up along the cutting bar and guards? I replaced the cutting bar already and have experimented with different ground speeds. Would reel speed be a factor? This is just pasture grass and it's not that thick.

Is the grass being cut but not moved on to the conditioner rolls, or not being cleanly cut? If the grass is too thin and short it may be real hard to get it to feed evenly.

Are the reel teeth set close enough to the cutterbar to clear the grass off?

Now that you mention it, I'm not sure. Guess that will give me something to check.
