I have about a 6 1/2' (80") Ford 3 pt hitch harrow and was wondering what is it worth? It is about 20 years old, but literally has maybe 10 hours of use, if that. The guy that I bought it from bought it for a hobby, he had I think an 8N. The problem was, it was too heavy for his tractor so I bought it. I used it on my garden once but didn't need it because I have a Howard rototiller and for my tractor (Ford 5600), it wasn't wide enough so I had to offset it. The harrow has been in a garage . Thanks.

Ok, to me where I live, a harrow is something with teeth on it, spikes, that knocks down lumps & levels the ground, light tillage.

A disk is something with dished coulters on it that slices & cuts the ground. The gangs are angled. Some only have a 'front set' of blades, others have a front & rear set of blades.

In many other parts of the country, what we call a 'disk' they call a 'disk harrow'. And what we call a 'harrow' they call a 'drag'.

So, do you have a harrow, or a disk?

You're not wrong, & I'm not right - this is just a regional difference that makes things confusing. :)

Thanks for responding. I guess you would call it a disk. It has front and rear blades. I forget if it is on the front set or rear, some of the disks are notched. Thanks.
