Just make sure that you dont wait too long to bale it and that you dont ted it too much, its very easy to dry out the leaves to fast leading you to only baling stem.

Chris,

Try this;

Watch weather channel, try to spot 4 days of no rain and a lot of sun (watching time optional)

On 1st dry day - wait until dew is off (10:30-11:00am) and proceed to cut with sickle.

Second day - towards late afternoon / early eve (4:00-6:00pm), ted if needed.

Third - let set.

Fourth - Wait for dew to be gone (10:30-11:00am), rake and bale.

Note: Get it out of the field before it rains again.
If you crimp after cutting you should be able to start baling late on the third day (3:00-5:00pm)

Disclaimer; it works for me, but I make no guarantee..... ..
