I just got a verry durty New Holland 67 baler. It was in the back of a 3 sided shed for a long time the people how had it said that it work the last time her dad had it out good. But she didn't use it sence. I'm trying to get a Manual from my New Holland dealer but have not found one. Can I use a carwasher to clean it up? or should I just do it by hand? Thanks I have been reading all the posts a bout the 67 baler and most of it sounds great. I want to use it for about 20 acars of grass hay. What is the best twine to use in it 9000 or 7200? Thanks Jeff

I cleaned mine up with a nozzle on my garden hose but a small pressure would probably do fine. The 9000 twine worked the best in mine.

I have also found it hard to get a manual for the 67 series baler. You might get lucky on ebay or try a local farm show flea market if the NH dealer is a dead end. I bought a model 68 manual, and for the most part it matches my Super 67. Checking and setting up timing is essentially the same for most of the "older" two didgit series and operating principles are identical. If you need help with timing, check out a recent post about the completion of a model 68 restoration. He has a link to his website that details it all. Pressure washing shouldn't hurt anything, just grease where you see the zerks (there are several underneath just crawl around and look they are in obvious friction points) and relube the chains afterwards.

Good Luck.

I have a Hayliner67 and also have part of the original manual with it. It is not in very good shape but I could try to get you a copy made if you would like. I do not think it would hurt it to use a car wash but you will need to go in and oil and grease all moving parts as soon as you finish.
