Case sickle bar mower adjustments

I recently bought an old 7' sickle bar mower. 3-point mounted, green, square main frame tube, 1" square telescoping PTO shaft, caged straight rollers on the upper pulley shaft. Was told it was JD, but with MTx casting numbers and old Abe on one of them, I'm sure it's a Case. Most of the guards have Case cast into them.

There are many adjustments in the weight-bearing linkage, some of which seem to have the same effect as another. Haven't contacted local dealer yet, but not expecting much info there.

1. Lots of discussion on the board about a model 10. Is this likely to be a model 10, or if not, what?
2. Are manuals available? I couldn't find any in an Internet search.
3. Can anyone discuss in detail the adjustments from the bar lift link, through the bellcrank, all the way to the limit chain? Everything else is fairly obvious.

Thanks for your help,
MPW
