My brother and I recently pulled a tandem disc out of the weeds and have been using it quite successfully but we wish to restore and repair it. We think that we have two different discs connected to eachother but are not sure. We cant find any markings on the front disc. It is lever controlled. The levers appear to be cast and not stamped. The grease housings are cast metal and look a little like a large tabacco pipe with holes on top to put the grease in. One of the holes has a wooden plug in it.
The rear disc appears to be more modern. The only marks that we have found have been on the rear spools. It is marked with the IH inside the C and the spool is marked with P1259. It is also controlled with levers but they are bent or stamped metal. The spools have screw-in plugs where the grease would go in.

Any help would be greatly apreciated.

Dave: If you can find a copy of the book 150 Years of IH by CH Wendel, he shows some very good pictures of old IH disks, and has the model numbers marked on photos.
