Hello everyone,
I have been wandering about this forum for quiet sometime, but I now need some advice,
The first question pretains to a JD 14T baler I own. Due to trying to replace the wore out main drive chain, being the one right behind the front slip cluch, I acciedentally got it out of time, I tried to re-time it but can't understand some of what the book is trying to get at. Can someone explain this to me in celar simple english?
Also I just phurchased a Nh 315 baler on Christmas eve, that needs some work, a new U-joint feeder teeth, and the enitre pick-up assembly rebuilt. Does anyone know of any salvage yards in Wisconsin that may have one or more of these balers for parts?
Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Adam R (aka the Farmall Kid )

Regarding 14T timing, I don't think I can explain it better than the manual. Basically, the plunger, packing fingers, knotter drive and needles' position have to be in sync. Plunger needs to be lined up in the bale case (chamber) as shown in the picture and the packing finger to outside of baler distance (+/- 17 5/8" I think) needs to be set. The bevel gears above the knotters (under a half round shield) should also be checked for time. Be sure to test it several times by turning the flywheel by HAND while tripping the knotter/needle lift drive. Check the needles' position thru the tying cycle. The required clearances are given in the manual. HTH.
