Are these rakes any good? Found a used 8 wheel for $1200 that I need to go look at at. What is the pros and cons? Wanting to speed up my raking I currently have a NH 55. Thanks.

I've had one(ten wheel model)about 4 years; no problems with it. Just prior to it, I had a three-point hitch Tonutti (eight wheel); worked good, but a major PIA to fold up and transport. Have also had ground drive and pto side delivery and for one year a Deutz-Fahr rake/tedder. For "my" purposes, the Durabilt is the best I've ever owned; whether you'll like it depends on type of hay, type of livestock, size and configuration of hay fields, etc..... ...The tines on these wheel type rakes definitely have a finite life due to metal fatigue; when you break a few, you might as well replace them all or salvage the rake.
