Has anyone seen a source for hitch mounted screw type log splitters?

This seems to be a common want. I also am interested in any plans or ideas. I have cords of wood, and really get tire of the old splitting maul!

I have been thinking of making a log splitter for my 8N. The rear of the tractor is already plumed for hydraulics and has a quick coupler. Any info would be appreciated. I would also like to converet my trip bucket to hydraulics so if you have any thoughts please let me know. I am hydraulic illerate. Figure now would be a great time to learn.

If you have a tractor with any kind of hydraulic outlets it would be much safer to make a log splitter with a cylinder and I-beam. I have heard those screw types can be dangerous. If you need any info I can get you started to build one of the I-beam types. Give me a holler if you are interested.

I would like to build a log splitter for my tractor. Can you point me to where I can find some plans and/or where to order parts.

Thank you very much.

Maybe you guys can help me.
Is my tractor adequate for a 3pt log splitter?
Tractor in question is a Ford 1920 32hp diesel
7.8 gpm hydraulic pump. I am unsure because the pumps on the gas driven splitters are two stage(I think).
Thanks in advance.
KS
