I have a 2 way IH 2 bottom plow. I am trying to find out about when it was manufactured and what value it may have( if it is more than scrap).

The 2 way plow is a wheel type, rope trip and when tripped it flips end over end to reverse. It is an old plow. It has a 14 inch bottom I think.

Joe: I think you may have a No. 39 plough. I have mention of it in 1939 and the latest I have is a 1955 International plough book and it is still there, but not in 1958. The 1955 book shows it on rubber tires behind a Super M while the 1939 book shows it with an M on steel. They were available with 14 or 16 inch bottoms. As for its' worth, that depends on its appearance and condition. If you have a lot of them in your area, it may not be that valuable. Around here, they are very scarce and I would think a real nice one might go up to $500 for a collector. Tom.

Joe: More description needed please. Trail, mounted, hydraulic or mechanical roll, bottom size, etc. I've been looking for a 2 bottom roller plough for a while and all I can see are 7 furrow monsters on the high side of fifty grand new. Please post back here. Thanks, Tom.
