I'm looking after a small field for football pitches. At present | cut it all with a small sit on mower but it can pull a small ganger. I live in Essex can anyone help??

As always, the answer is "it depends". A little set that can be pulled behind a garden tractor is a few hundred (new). A big set like they use on golf courses would be $1000-1500 new, cut a little taller grass and tend to jam less.

They can cut a lot of grass quickly if the grass is kept fairly short and there are no trees around that drop sticks to jam it. You'll still need a rotary mower to get through thicker stuff.

The biggest complaint most people have is getting them sharpened; it takes special equipment that might involve hauling them somewhere and cost a bit, check that out before buying.
