Just got done baling the front field. About 3 acres. I finally got the IH 46 baler that was having trouble tying knots a couple weeks ago fixed right. It was a combination of baler speed slowing down, dryer hay, and better twine. I dumped the TSC twine, and got good twine from a farm dealer. Worked like a charm. Probably a 100 bales, I think it missed about 5-6 knots. Thanks for the help guys.

What diameter twine did you first use and what diameter twine did you end up using?

I don't know there was a difference. 9000lb was what they sold me. The TSC stuff unraveled easy, the Farm dealer stuff didn't.

Bet it was slowing down the baler speed and the better twine. What brand of twine are you now using? I use a twine from a store like tsc and it works good sometimes other times not. Glad to hear it went to working better.
