Thanks to all for their replies. Owner wants $100 for the rake says it needs a new drive belt.

We had one, i thouhgt it worked good because you could just pick it up when you got the end of a row or the center of the field. Once in awhile in real heavy hay the rotating bar would wrap up but not to often. I wouldn't mind having another one again. The caster wheels on the back would rotate to far and get hit by the rake teeth every so often, until we made a stop....Jim

I can't tell you if they were any good or not but if it is an older red Dearborn implement it would be worth something to collectors of older Ford stuff. There weren't a lot of them made and all of that older Ford/Dearborn stuff is getting to be be pricey. You might make a nickel on it just by buying it and putting it on Ebay or YTMAG auction.
Good luck
Jerry

They were not popular around here, can only repeat what the neighborhood says, as I've never seen one work in person....

A bit of work to hook up, then you need to run at one speed, whatever matches up to ground vs pto speed. About the only implement a ground-speed pto is a good thing. :)

Tend to run a little too fast, beat the leaves off alfalfa.

Again, just what I hear from around the area, could be all wet.

Make sure that the counter rotating bar up front is in good condition.
