I have a 5ft tandem disc that has no wheels. The blades are turned straight when transporting. It was originally a dark gray color. The number 791120 and the words "Patent Applied For N 82" is cast into the bearing cases between the disc blades. Who originally made these discs? I have seen many, but I do not know what company built these.
Thank you very much

It's too bad we don't have a picture to look at . . . it might make identification a little easier. There probably have been 100 or more disk manufacturers at one time or another. The big full line companies like Deere, IH, Case, Oliver, Minnie-Mo, Massey Harris, Allis and even Ford and Ferguson had drag disks at one time or another. And then there were shortliners like Kewanee, Athens, King, Dunham and Pittsburg, among others. Then there are local jobs that no one may be able to identify. For example, in Pennsylvania, Groffdale Machine Company is still making brand new small drag disks. They look similar to a JD KBA, but are not quite the same. If GMC were to go out of business now, in 50 or 60 years, no one might remember who they were.
