I have a freind that showed me how to build a three poin hitch scoop that attaches to the tractor that lifts up to 65 inches high, ith has a pivot in the center od it, works great to, Mien is a trip mecanism. his is hydraulic. I will be glad to send pics when I get them developed. very handy attachment.: : Joel, : : The scoop consists of a frame that hooks the the 3-point hitch and a bucket that pivots on the frame. On the front of the frame there is a rope that releases a catch that allows the scoop to tip and dump the load. Generally, the scoop works best if you back into a pile of dirt because the heaviest concentration of dirt is at the very lip of the bucket which easily allows the bucket to tip. Just raise the 3-point arms high enough for the bucket to empty, and pull the rope. When the bucket empties, mine resets itself. : : I bought mine at Tractor Supply in Selma, NC, about 4 months ago for $200.00. My tractor does not have power steering either, and this was the answer to my prayers because I didn't want to spend thousands on a front loader to use only a few times each year. : Boy, I am like a kid with a new toy. I am going to expound the merits of the 3point scoop again. I just finised digging a new foundation with this thing. Probably took longer than with a loader, but still did a fine job. I"M HAVING A BLAST.
