Do I need an "A" frame hoist to mount my front loader on my ford tractor or is there some simpler trick to it. My loader is about 30 year old industrial ford w/pump. Oh yea, any advice on where to get shaft from crank to pump?
I'm somewhat new to loaders, thanks

PJ, Go into the Ford forum and back about 3 pages look for loader for 841. It was a procedure that I did because of the situation that the loader was delivered. I added a front pump to mine (68 standard loader didn't have one) and I had to wing it. The New holland dealer had 2 of the three shafts made for front pumps. 9 3/8" & 9 9/16". The 13 inch was no longer made. As mentioned before it all depends on the model. If you have trouble locating a manual, check the N newletter from Vermont. They have almost every manual photo copied at a reasonable rate.
Have fun!

Mounting depends on the lengths of the hoses. An A frame hoist is straight forward, but unhandy. While you are visiting your Ford dealer to get the shaft, get a manual on the loader. It should show a better way of installing it without needing the hoist.

A frame, another loader (large), forklift, whatever. There are no tricks that I know of. The shaft & couplers are available @ your New Holland Dealer. Take your old parts & numbers off your tractor & loader if you can get them.
