What is the best way to space the twine on each bale? I have to use my hydraulic lever about eight times on mine. Also what is the best pto speed, groundspeed, and windrow size for the tightest bale?

Count as you watch the twine go out, then move the lever. You'll get the hang of it. The further you drive, smaller windrows will make tighter bales. You want big windrows for a round baler to work good. If the bales are too fluffy slow down a little and throttle up.

First off you need to get a manual. I have an old 850 but it has eletric tie. I pull it with a super 88 and have to run it full out to do a good job. As far as windrow I have found it doesn't matter its how its set up to get a good tight bale. You also need to drive like your drunk to get a good bale from an 850. With my tie I run it side to side probably 10 -15 times or more.

smaller windrows and slower speeds make for better NH chain bales...

my baler has automatic tie however I think if you were to put the hydr on as slow as possible and then idle while wrapping... I would think you would just hold the leaver and not hit it 8 times.
