I read the responses the other day about how to set the distribution on a Herd Seeder, they were all good and right.
I have a Herd with no markings either so I called the friendly folks up in Indiana to check on a manual.
They sent me an operators manual, a parts and service manual, a price list and thanked me for using Herd. All that at no charge. Not even postage&handling.
I know we aint supposed to advo on here, but my next seeder will be a Herd too.

i "herd" that, burrhead. i bought one of those seeders at tractor supply co. the dummy that put it together got the control levers on wrong. had to reverse them before i could use it. they also tried to charge me xtra for the driveshaft. i will definatly buy a herd brand next time from a reputable dealer.

Sometimes it just does that I think. I've always had good luck with TSC, but they don't honor warranty to good either.
