I got the 60 gallon one with the small 540 rpm roller pump, the 1 that's a no coupler type. It cost about $65 I think, it does really really well. It will hold a good accurate stream for about 30 ft.

Burrhead,

I read where you have used the TSC 60 gal PTO Roller Pump. Let me run this by you and you tell me if will work.

I have a few wooded acres with spots of Mother of Millions, a type of noxious(sp) weed here in Australia. I have been using a back pack sprayer but looking for something easier.

My idea is to mount a 44 gal drum on a cart behind my tractor, install the PTO pump, run the 12' - 15' pick up from the pump to the drum holding the herbacide, then on the ouput side of the pump essentially run a 50' garden hose to do the spraying with. I'm still going to do the sparying of foot because of the trees, but at least I want be wearing the back-pack.

Will this work?

I'm assuming that as long as I have the pick-up line below the herbacide level that the pump will pick-it up (ie that the drum holding the herbacide does not have to be pressurized), am I right about this??

Thanks,

Ted
