Hi Guys,

This old jasper followed me home this after noon. Thought I might need one on the off chance that it ever rains out here and I should happen to need to turn a windrow er two.

Anybody know what the heck it is? John Deere is all I can figure out. :>(

Allan:

I have never seen a rake with adjustment handles like that? Next thing you need to do is put a dolly wheel on it and about a 3 ft tongue. It won't follow so close, and won't try to grab the tires on the H or the 686 when you are making those perfect windrows.

Allan, that's called a "HAY RAKE".....

Sorry, I just couldn't help myself!

Are you sure that's a Deere product? (That "color of money" can play tricks on a feller...) I've looked in all my Deere photo books, old catalogs, and shook the cobwebs outta the memory bank, and I don't ever recall seeing a Deere rake with those "gear drives" on the rear hubs. Looks like the old girl aughtta trn some hay though.

Darned if I know, John,

It's got those classic JD adjustment cranks tho, doesn't it?

Beats me; all I know is that it seems to work. :>)
