Front Loader for JD 730?

A friend told me that he once saw a "one arm bandit" type front end loader on a JD 630 or 730 tractor. It had only one arm, on the left side, with only one lift cylinder, and a lever-cable-latch mechanism to dump the bucket. Anyone ever seen or heard of this? Did JD make a front end loader for 630 or 730 tractors? Did any other companies make loaders for these tractors? Any thoughts or comments are appreciated.

On a tractor that big, I'd opt for twin booms. Deere had the #45 for narrow fronts and #45W for the wide fronts. These had trip buckets (a few have been converted to hydraulics.) A better loader would be the JD #46, which looks more like a modern loader. Designed for the 10-series New Generation tractors as well as the 20 and 30 series 2-cylinders, many of these loaders are equipped with factory hydraulic buckets. Farmhand also made a loader for these tractors, the F-11, that uses its own pump. (actually, I think you can still get them new!) I believe I saw a DuAl loader on a 720 once.

Not only were JD loaders available, but Farmhand and DuAl (and I'm sure others). Almost any loader that is an axle mount can be made to fit it the reach of the lift arms is out there far enough to clear the front end of your hood.

Check the thread below where Wayne and I are discussing the various tractors my DuAl 250 has been and could be mounted on, with or without an independant pump and reservoir. Wayne also supplied a link to the company that bought DuAl and still markets loaders.

P.S. Wayne says my loader is worth $300 and up. I paid $500 for it and have to buy a couple of hoses. Actually, the better, newer twin cylinder loaders with quick mounts go for well over $1000 in Nebraska and Iowa. Seems everybody wants one...G
