Was wondering if anyone had any information regarding serial numbers of model 320U, that were painted industrial yellow. I came across one with no 3 point, lots of yellow (although some one had painted it Oliver green), and some type of a flat plat bracket clamped to the right front axle. Wondered if the plate might have provided support for side mounted sickle mower. This tractor was built and shipped very close to the date of the picture shown in Two Cylinder Mag, which shows the 9 320U tractors, that were bought by the Texas Dept of Transportation, Ft Worth Divison. Thanks for any input you can give.

I don't have any production numbers for the amount of yellow 320s made, but you can guess that there weren't too many. Could you post or email me your serial number for my list of surviving industrial John Deeres? I have a website about them below.

Good luck,
Brandon

well, everyone is getting a 320U.I just typed a
book earlier about these critters. Sounds like you
do have an old highway mowing unit. The bracket that you mentioned, does it have a tab on the under side(pointed down),with two holes. If yes this is where the leveling springs attatch for the #47 highway mower.Look under the right axle housing to see if a slight groove is worn into it.
This was caused by the lifting cable. I could go on and on. Tell you what, have any questions just let me know.I've got one. HH
