I have a few questions about the super 4020. A few comments on your forums said they need to be pulled and not idled around. If so than it would probably not make a very good loader tractor. I am looking at some to buy right now and would like to know if there are any spots I should look at closely (i.e. common wear spots). First time buying so any help would be appreciated. Thanks

right now i am restoring a 2510. some wear spots you want to look at are the spindles and see if the wheels are not sitting the at the same angle. if one is tilted differently from the other one the spindle bushings are bad. and check the front hubs too. the bearings and races might be bad. and the power stearing motor to see if it is leaking.

check the for an oil leak under the draw bar. if there is one you will have to relpace the load shaft. that will cost about 100 dolars for the bushings and the seals and the load shaft ( if it is badly worn).

when you drive it around, see how well it shifts, and if it pops out of any gears.

that is all i can think of off of the top of my head.

unless you are just wanting a 4320 you might look into a 30 series for a loader tractor. The 4430 has a wet clutch which is great for a lot of easing up and back. The 30 series also have much heavier fron axles and spindles which will benefit you using it with a loader. The cabs are also quite a bit more luxurious on the 30 series. In my opinion the 20 series drive and handle winter starts better, but if you are looking for a loader tractor I would go with the 4430. It is true with any engine that has a turbo charger that is does not need to be idled for prolonged periods of time. Unless you want a smaller tractor you will have to deal with it. A 4020 has 94 horses and a 4230 has round about a hundred and also has a wet clutch

a 4020 is a better loader tractor , they have syconizers between forword and reverse where the 4320 does not,you have to make sure you come to a complete stop every time.i have had both on loaders before
