Should the end of the crank shaft be flush with the drive disk when tightened down? I think on mine #266xxx it is not going to be flush. Should the pulley bearing inner washer (retainer)be conical or flat? Thanks.

Johan, that drive disk should not pull on flush but should be lacking about 1/8"-3/16" of going all the way on, that way you know it's tight.
~That inner washer should be conical. It needs to be like that for the oil to drain back. Are you referring to the inner washer or outer retainer though.

Thank you Clooney. It is the inner washer that I was wondering about as I had not taken it apart myself. The outside retainer is pressed in as far as it can go I suppose?
