if you have power steering, you have to tap in behind the ptiority valve or rather use a T fitting in the pressure connection to the existing scv. you can use the 1" npt opening on the transmossion housing behind the rockshaft for the return. if you use the extra scv for hydro motor or large dual acting cylinders, you shold direct the return oil, as mentioned, to the filter housing.
you can also use the existing scv and couplers to couple an external closed center scv with 2 or 3 sections and fender mount it.
if you only need it for a single acting cylinder, you can use the pressure outlet at the left of the rockshaft housing, tie the lift arms in the up positoion (so that they can't drop),and use your rockshaft lever as a scv.

On the larger tractors the hydraulic filter is on the right side near the bottom of the transmission, not sure if this is the case on the 1020 or not. If so the best way to run a valve is the same as with a loader, tap into the pressure line, to the valve then return to a fitting on the hydraulic filter cover. You should be able to get one of these covers with fitting. I believe the system is closed center, I know the larger ones are.
