My first post... I bought an old house and the people who sold it to me left an old JD 110 w/deck. However, the gas tank has been removed, it's still there under the hood but it's been un bolted. I also noticed that the ignition switch wires are not connected to anything. Also the battery is missing.

My question is, should I drain the oil and fill it back up, put the gas tank back on, get a new battery, fix the ignition wiring and then try to start it? Or is there another approch I should take to get it running?

Does anyone know where I could find a wiring diagram for this lawn tractor? And I'm not spending $60-&99 on the ones sold here.

Corey, If you plan to keep the tractor I would order a set of manuals from Deere(service-operating-parts). They contain all the information to rebuild and maintain the tractor. The old 110's are heavy duty compared to todays lawn tractors and when restored can last for many years. If your just looking for something to cut grass and don't have the time or interest to repair the 110, I would sell it and put the cash toward a new lawn tractor.

Thanks for the reply. Could you give me a link for those service-operating-parts manuals?

Thanks,

Corey
