MY 37 A HAS 12 SPLINE REARS ON IT ALL I FIND ARE 10 SPLINE IS THIS MORE RARE OR IS IT JUST THE MODEL ONE OF MINE IS IN EXELENT SHAPE FLAT SPOKE 36 INCH AND THE OTHER HAS BEN WALLERD UP AND HAD A NEWER WHEEL WELDED ON IT THE BAD ONE IS HOWEVER A BOLT IN HUB ANY HELP OR INFO WOULD BE APPRECEATED THANK IN ADVANCE . GTF

JD went to the 12-spline rear axle at 460000, which is late mid-year of 1937. Some other indicators that show your tractor is after 460000 are a mounting boss cast into the top of the steering post for mounting cultivators, a guide riveted to the hood to keep the shutter control rod from bending, and the deep pan seat that is used up until the late-styled A's and B's came out.

John deere changed axles at about midyear in 1937 to a heavier axle to help prevent breakage when a cornpicker was installed. 12 splined was used until about 1941
