Can I remove and replace my connecting rods in my model B with the connecting rods from the model 50?
I understand this has been done and would like to know if its just a straight swap or does the crank have to be ground, Etc...
Since I already have one babbited rod bearing gone I thought it might be wise to go with inserts??
Would like to hear about whats involved and also the cost versus staying with the babbited bearings.
Thanks again, Jim H.

You can have the rods you have machined to where you can put inserts in them. cost me 35.00 a rod to have a set done on a G.

the rods will swap with no problem...the crank is 2" and standard inserts are the same....be sure to set rods so that oil hole on front of rods is to the inside.

So the rods from a 50 will fit in the B without any modification?
