I just picked up a 1936 D and noticed that when I start it, it pops pretty consistently out of #1 petcock, but only randomly out of #2. Is this normal and if not, where should I start looking to track down the problem? It has new plugs and I can pull about 1/8" spark gap on both wires when it's running.
Thanks!

Dale, Frank is right about plugs; I have great luck with autolite 3077, not to good with autolite 3076 tho. The 3077 is a little hotter plug and also a deep reach one to. I also have one D that likes champion in the right cyl better, go figure. Some have good luck with the champion plugs and run them with no problems.
As far as the miss on the right cyl that is normal, you can play with the carb idle settings and get it to fire more often but then I find it's to rich for operational times. Does it pick the right cyl up as soon as you advance the throttle?, if it does it's probaley just right

If it has Champion plugs in it take them out and throw them as far away as you can. Go with a set of Autolites or AC one heat range hotter than the book calls for.
