Does anyone have a source for straight SAE 140w oil as called for in all my JD manuals. The stuff doesn't exist in southwest Iowa.
Thanks - Jeff

Jeff, Larry Wolf, Clearwater, Kansas, (near Wichita) sells it for $34.95 for 5 gallons, plus shipping. He always has an ad in Green Mag. His phone # is:620 545-7628. David

Jeff, Chevron makes a GL-1 140 oil. I was able to order it through my heating oil supplier, which is a Chevron dealer. I think it was about $32 for 5 gal.

Jeff, I live in northeast Missouri and get this type of oil through my local MFA Oil supplier. It isn't terribly expensive, either. If you live close to Missouri there should be one of these suppliers near you. Hope this helps. Mike

I couldn't find it in any stores around here either and finally contacted the local wholesale oil company and a 5 gal pail of GL1 140wt was about $20. Look in the yellow pages under wholesale oil or petroleum products.
