Jeff, If your wheel/tractor is an unstyled model, there were only two 36" rim sizes available, 6.00S and 8.00T. Old tire manuals list an 11.25x36 tire as acceptable on the 8.00T conventional rim, which corresponds to a 14.9x36 tire in modern terms. However, the "conventional" rim has a different shape than the "wide-base" rim which followed it, and the 14.9 tire would look odd. The 10.00x36 is the narrowest tire listed for the 8.00T rim, which corresponds to a 13.6x36 modern tire. So, depending on what type of rim you have (conventional or wide-base), your 11.2x36 may look a bit narrow on a conventional rim. Wide-base tires and rims became common in the early '40's, so if that is what you have, an 11.2x36 would be fine. The topic of wheels, rims, and their evolving use on tractors is a long story.
The best suggestion is to look at some tractors at a show which have rims similar to yours and decide what tire sizes look best.
