I have a 1934 John Deere Model A, SER# 411123. I was wondering if anyone could give me a ball park idea of what it should be worth to a collector. It has been converted to rubber tires, and it doesn't have the correct steering wheel on it, but other than that it it is all original. It runs fine but needs tires and paint.

Does it have the original open fanshaft? If so, if it isn't welded that increases the value. I saw a 1934 A close to your serial number sell about 5 years ago. It was stuck. Brought $7950.

It has the open fanshaft. I'm assuming that by "welded" you mean, will the fan still come off of the shaft? This one doesn't appear to be welded, and it looks like you could take it off, but we've never had the fan off. In your reply, you said that the one that sold 5 years ago was "stuck"? Are you referring to the fan or was that a typo for stock? And what kind of shape was that tractor in?

That means that the motor was stuck. It didn't run.

I'm located in western PA. I don't know what I want for it, I'm not even sure I want to sell it, I enjoy playing with it. I just figured I would try to get an idea of what it was worth. I haven't seen any this old posted in the classifieds anywhere, so I figured that it must be somewhat rare and might be worth a couple of bucks, to the right person, if I were to sell it.
