720 gas, gas line from tank is not plugged, good oil pressure through the oil line to the shut off valve on carb. Tractor will fire 1 or 2 times and won't stay running. I cleaned the screen and checked the diaphram in the valve which isn't torn and doesn't have any visable holes in it, help!

Are you getting gasoline at the carb? Perhaps the line from the oil pressure shutoff to the carb is blocked. This is an easy check. I suppose the outlet of the oil pressure shutoff could be blocked also. Pull the spark plugs out so you can motor the engine easily and take the gas line loose at the carb. Once oil pressure is up you should get a good stream of gas. If you do then we need to find out why we don't have spark, or have spark at the right time, or don't have compression. Get all those things and it will have to run. :)

Jerry, check the wire running from the ign switch to the ballast resistor & then check ballast resistor itself.. OR, put a volt meter or test light on the coil's small power terminal & see if the coil has power during cranking & if it still has power when the starter is released. It sure sounds like a failed ballast resistor or open in the coil power wire from the ign switch to the ballast resistor, or even a failed ign switch....
~On those later by-pass starting tractors the resistor is by-passed during cranking so it will fire but if the coil isn’t kept supplied with power from the ign switch through the resistor during the run process it won’t stay running when the starter is released.
~If the coil is staying powered then you will have to look for a restriction in the fuel strainer or at the carbs inlet fitting. There’s a screen in the carb fuel line fitting area [the nut just above the fuel line entrance].
~If you suspect an oil pressure shut off problem just crank the engine & watch the little valve in the top of the strainer bowl, you should be able to see it open as the oil pressure comes up...
