I recently got a 1973 1520, which I love. I know it is not in great enough shape to treat like a collectors item, even though it is in pretty nice condition.

Even so.....I am planning to replace the fenders for aesthetic reasons only, and I found the fenders on this web site under parts. I also want to replace the emblem at the front of the tractor, but have been unsuccessful finding the part on line. Does anyone have any advice how I could get a Deere emblem (original preferred) for my 1520?

Thanks!

Marc

Marc: The medallion (part# A48294) is occasionally found on ebay, but you'll be looking for a long time for a good NOS (OEM) medallion. I do have one, in excellent condition "on the shelf", which I won in an ebay auction last year.

Also, the JD parts web site still lists the medallion, but I have not seen NOS quality at my dealer. Instead, they have something "close" but not the original quality and think you illuded to his in your post. HTH

HTH (AKA SMALL OPS).....

Are you interested in selling the one you have on the shelf????

I checked the JD Parts web site for Part # A48294 and found that is a $53 actuator. Whatever the heck that is.... Are you sure that is the correct part #???

thanks!

Marc

I found the part, but they want $56!!! Is that an aftermarket part or the original? Do you know? They did not show a photo of it.

I just found one on ebay for $10. It may not be original (They said new aftermarket part that fits a 1520) but it is better that what is on my tractor now, which just looks terrible. For $10, it is worth it. I will keep my eye out for a mint original. By the way... What does "NOS" stand for?

Thanks for all your help HTH. What does HTH stand for... your initials?

Regards,

Marc
