Hi all:

I would like to replace the clutch lever pivot bolt and bushing on my tractor as there is a lot of play in the clutch lever.

However, my tractor has a cast iron piece (G754 A) next to the clutch lever that uses the pivot bolt to hold it on. I think it is used when pulling a drawbar type plow or other implement. When the implement hits an obstruction, the cast iron piece jerks the clutch back and prevents anything from breaking (with the exception of your left knee I imagine).

Is this piece really held on with the pivot bolt as it appears? If so, where do I buy a 10.5 inch pivot bolt? Any idea what the part number of this long bolt is? Finally, what specifically did this cast iron piece come with? Was it with an imlement, bought at the dealer, or rigged in the field by the farmer from another tractor?

Thanks as always for your help.

Matt

As already mentioned it was part of the 44 plow setup and yes it would do a real number on your knee cap. There are a lot of victims out there hobbling around. The plow hitch had a set of springs and if you hit an obstruction it would jerk the clutch out. If you were going really slow and had a good pulley brake you could also bind up everything so you had to pry the tractor out of gear to re-engage the clutch.

the piece in question came with a #44 plow. It was intended to disengage the clutch if your plow came unhooked.
