What is the best way to disconnect the RIO back up on a John Deere LT160 without causing any problems with the electronics to the machine. This is a very annoining problem that I never had on any of my previous JDs. Thanks for any help.
Joe.

Is it a hydro tranny? If so, when you step on the reverse pedal the linkage in the rear of the tractor pushes against a switch that shuts off the deck. It is somewhat adjustable, but I took mine and turned it so the rod doesn't ever hit it and turn the thing off. Look at the right rear, just behind the axle, mounted on the frame and you should see it.

Thanks for the tip. But I just got a new one tonight and after looking where you said I just unpluged it and that seems to do it to. I was wondering though how you un plug the seat so you can get off with out the engine shutting off. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Kim

I bypassed mine on my 335, but kept the parts, if I ever sell it I will put RIO it back to stock. Otherwise you open yourself up to a possible lawsuit if the next owner is injured.

Just make sure you keep the parts..... .
