I have a JD wagon and I hope there are some people here that can answer a couple of questions. The tunning gear is all JD but it has an oak floor with a hydrualic lift and galvanized sides with a painted logo that says "Electric." It has a steel tailgate that can pivot top or bottom and a small chute-type door. The wagon has 6-lug wheels with what appear to be the original Firestone 7.00-15 8-ply tires. My questions are; 1) How much is this wagon rated to carry, 2) How old is it, 3) What's with the "Electric" biz?

Sounds like You have a John Deere running gear with an Electric Wheel flare box wagon box on It. Neighbor had the exact same combination. Boxes avail. in 2 sizes, 130 and 150 bushel cap. Dad had the same 150 Bu. box but an Electric Wheel running gear. Hoist on both wagons was a special lo-profile twin cylinder hoist so the wagon sat down on the actual running gear. Lots of hoists required the box to be set up on the gear 6-8" and consiquently reduced capacity and increased the tendency to tip over when fully loaded. Deere had model numbers on their gears but I don't know them but I would assume Your gear has at least 4-5 TON gross capacity, maybe a little more. Electric Wheel was a division of Firestone Tire & Rubber, and also was the largest wheel & rim manufacturer for the AG industry at that time. Plant was in Quincy, IL. FWIW, Dad's wagon box & gear had OLIVER decals on it but all the serial number plates said EWC, trim pieces and braces were all painted liver green. Neighbor's wagon said EWC I think and all the trim was painted red.
