I'm looking at a nice 3010 but it seems to have a few problems and I'd like to know how serious they are. #1 Water is seeping out of the weep hole in the side of the block under the carb. Does this mean the block is cracked or the sleeves are not sealing to the block?
#2 This tractor has 3 reverse gears and it makes a
clicking sound when backing up in all three gears.
All forward gears are fine
It does not slip out of any of the reverse gears and pulls well against the brakes? Thoughts? -jim

each cylinder has two sealing o-rings around the sleeve, one above the hole and one below.the top seals out water the bottom seals out motor oil.the top o-ring is leakingg water.this may not be a problem as long as water doesnt get in the crankcase,or the leak is bad enough to loose a lot of water.most farmers i know just plugged up the weep hole.later m0del engines no longer had the holes.the clicking may be a broken or chipped tooth on the reverse gear.
