My buddy Henry has a 1929 GP S/N 205800A. Does anyone know what that A stands for or represents at the end of that serial number???? John T

This is what I remember on the subject:
The GPs up to SN 212XXX shipped from the factory with the behind-the-radiator air cleaner, and no crankcase ventilation. Some were officially field retrofitted with a new air cleaner, and possibly also the crankcase ventilation and an oil filter. They might have also changed to the low compression cylinder head, maybe someone can confirm this. The SN tag was then stamped with the "A" to indicate the updates.
Does the GP still have the flat final drive housings?
